What 13 years taught me
Good marketing is not about knowing the latest trick. It is about understanding the business well enough to know what actually makes sense.
Branding taught me positioning and why people connect with certain brands. Agency management made my world bigger: performance, CRM, content, creative and data, with multidisciplinary teams. Leading marketing for a 12-hostel chain taught me to make it all work at scale.
I don’t believe one marketer should do everything. But I do believe someone needs to understand how everything fits together.
